Camden Town: London's most
popular open-air market area with stalls, shops, pubs and
restaurants amidst some impressive old buildings and courtyards.
Camden is well-known for its markets: there are of relatively
recent date, except for Inverness
Street market, a small food market good
for fruit and vegetables, though now with more touristy
stalls on weekends. Camden Lock market proper started in
a former timber yard in 1973, and is now surrounded by satellites:
Buck Street market, Stables
market, Camden Canal market, and an indoor
market in the Electric Ballroom.

What
to buy in the Markets:
The
Lock Market. Situated on the East side of
Chalk Farm Road, by Camden Lock, this market has many stores
mainly focused around music and clothing (open suturday
and sunday 9am-6pm)
The Stables Market.
This is the largest of Camden's market areas, featuring
hundreds of stalls selling everything from African art to
beds to fetish clothing to antiques. This is probably the
best place in London for interesting clothes, including
vintage, goth, cyber and general club-wear.
The Camden / Buck Street Market.
A great spot for cheap knock-offs of expensive goods such
as Doc Martens
Inverness Street Market
Here you can find a range of common goods such as fruit
& veg, cheap clothes and other bits and bobs.
The Canal Market.
Here you can find jewellery, paintings, candles, figurines
and much more. A great place for gifts and souvenirs. Open
