
Despite its medicinal properties, the Hennè
(lawsonia inermis) is used, primarily, as colouring plant.
Since ancient times, it was used in the Middle East to dye
hair, skin and nails. Later introduced in Europe, at the
end of the century, has become an important constituent
of dyes and fixatives. It’s used like ornamental tree
for the gardens and parks; appreciated for the fragrant
during the flowering time
L. Inermis use: astringent herb, taste
like tea, antibacterial property. In Ayurvedic medicine
is an alternative and a nerve tonic. Use of herb.
In medicine for internal use in case of dysentery; for external
use: skin diseases, wounds and herpes. Other uses. The essence,
thanks the aroma of lilac, is used in perfumery. The coloring
substance is used to dye hair, feet and hands.
