Oasis
English pop band formed in Manchester in the early nineties
around brothers Noel and Liam Gallagher. The first successes
were Supersonic, Shakermaker
and Live forever and album of debut Definitely
Maybe (1994). The biggest commercial success
was Morning glory of 1995 that earned the
hits in England and Europe becoming a musical phenomena.
In 1997 Be Now here was not greeted with
great enthusiasm by critics and audiences; in that period
were of alternations within the band. In 2000 Standing
on the shoulders of Giants, followed by Familar
to Millions, recording of the concert held in the
stadium at Wembley. Their latest publications are: Heathen
Chemistry, 2002 and Do not believe the
truth of 2005. Peculiarity: He’s
a left-hander.

Noel Thomas David Gallagher
(1967) is an English songwriter, guitarist and vocalist
with the Manchester rock band Oasis. He grows as his brother
Liam, in the district of Burnage, Manchester. Noel had an
unhappy childhood. He left the school and did several jobs,
from decorator to baker. The great passion was the music.
In May 1988 Gallagher met guitarist Graham Lambert of Inspiral
Carpets and when he heard singer Steve Holt was leaving
the band, he auditioned to be the new vocalist. With this
band he went in America for a turnèe but only like
its solo roadie. Gallagher returned from an American tour
with the Inspiral Carpets to find his brother Liam thad
had become the lead singer with a local band called Oasis.
After persuasion from Liam, he agreed to join the band,
on the condition that he take creative control of the group
and become its sole songwriter. Oasis will become the best
english band of ninthies years.
Gallagher
married Meg Mathews in Las Vegas, Nevada on June 5, 1997.
On January 27, 2000, Mathews gave birth to a daughter, Anais
and the couple split. He has since entered a long-term relationship
with Scottish girlfriend, Sarah MacDonald, who gave birth
to Noel's second child Donovan Rory MacDonald Gallagher.
