Rassoul
or Rhassoul
is a natural clay rich in minerals used by women in the
Middle East for the beauty of the hair and skin. This popular
clay among women Berber is extracted in the area of Atlas
in Morocco and exactly in the regions of Ksabi, where local
people use it as shampoo and soap for wash. The Rassoul
is an integral part of culture of Hammam,
like the use of black soap and the exfoliant glove (kessa).
It is the subject of a trade throughout the Middle East
and is traditionally offered to the young Moroccan bride.
The Moroccan royal family reserves today one of the many
strands of "Djebel-Rhassoul" for his personal
consumption. Different from shampoos and soaps, rhassoul
does not contain surfactants; a suggest is to mix the clay
with the water so that you can get a sweet paste, this dough
absorbs impurities and fats that you can eliminate with
the rinse. The compound obtained should be used on the skin,
as a gommage; keep on ten minutes and rinse to get a satin
skin. Also you can use on the hair like a mask (for 15 minutes)
and to rinse with abundant water so that there will be silk
and nourish hair(on dry hair to add composed of sweet almond).
