Paul
Simon
is a american folk singer (New York 1941). With Art Garfunkel
he composed a lot of successful musical acts of the 1960.
They became international superstars, beginning with "The
Sound of Silence," a number one hit in 1965.
Until they broke up in 1970, Simon & Garfunkel cranked
out hit songs such as "The Boxer," "Mrs.
Robinson" Than he attempted a solo career:
the best solo album Graceland in 1986 achieved
with the help of African artists and The rhytm of
the saints in 1990, full of Afro-brazilian contaminations.
Inspired by the life of the American gangster he composed
Songs from the Capeman, 1987. After being
on tour with Bob Dylan for the United States published the
album You are the one.
Simon has also played in the Woody Allen's movie Annie
Hall, the producer Tony Lacey. It was screenwriter
and actor of the film style One Trick Pony (1980). In 2002
the song Father and Daughter got nomination
for an Oscar as best original song for the film animation
The Wild Thornberrys Movie.
